Are you looking to grow your email list, witch?

Offering a freebie is a great way to do it!

But how do you deliver it to your subscribers, and what do you do next?

In this post, I’ll show you how to use an email marketing platform to deliver your freebie, and create more sales!

What is a freebie, anyway?

A freebie is something of value that you give away for free in exchange for someone’s email address.

It could be an e-book, a checklist, a guide, a webinar, a quiz or any other resource that your target audience would find useful.

Once someone signs up to get your freebie, they become a part of your email list. You can then nurture them with more content and eventually offer them your paid products or services.

So what are the steps to creating and delivering your freebie?

Step 1: Choose your freebie and create it.

Decide what type of freebie you want to offer and create it (canva is a great place to make pretty PDFs).

Make sure it’s something your target audience will find valuable and that it aligns with your brand.

Step 2: Create a landing page

Create a landing page where people can sign up to get your freebie. Keep it simple and to the point. Make sure to highlight the benefits of your freebie and what people will get out of it.

Step 3: Connect your landing page to your email marketing platform

Connect your landing page to your email marketing platform. This will ensure that when someone signs up to get your freebie, they are automatically added to your email list.

You can do this in a few ways:

1. You can create your landing page directly through you email marketing platform

2. You can create an embeddable form, and use a code block on your website to embed the form.

3. You can use Zapier or Pabbly to send their information from an external form, or purchase to a segment in your Email Marketing.

Step 4: Create an automation

Create an automation in your email marketing platform that sends your freebie to people as soon as they sign up.

This can be done by setting up a welcome email with a download link.

Some platforms like Convertkit, allow you to deliver a PDF as your Double-Optin Confirmation button.

What should come next?

Once someone has received your freebie, it’s important to keep in touch with them.

You can send them more valuable content, special offers, or updates about your business.

You can even do this as part of the automation you’ve already created. Just add a time delay of a few days and then send another email.

Bonus tip: Create a tag or segment called “exclude from newsletter” Have them enter this segment when they sign up for the freebie, and exit the segment once they complete the nurture sequence. This way you won’t be bombarding them with too many emails!

Remember, your email list is one of your most valuable assets as a business owner.

By offering a freebie and delivering it through your email marketing platform, you can start building relationships with your subscribers and turn them into loyal customers, yay!
